Position Title : Solution Engineer (AI / ML)
Job Desiscription : About this role Our client is looking for a Solutions Engineer with 2+ years of experience to be the first pre-sales hire at DatologyAI. You will be the crucial technical liaison between our customers and internal teams, leveraging your deep ML/AI expertise to demonstrate the value of our data curation platform. This is a unique opportunity for a technical, customer-facing individual who is passionate about ML and Sales and wants to build out the pre-sales function from the ground up. What you will do: • Partner with the sales team on all pre-sales calls, acting as the technical expert to understand customer needs and design scalable solutions. • Lead end-to-end customer Proof of Concepts (PoCs), including dataset analysis, training plan design, and interpreting results to demonstrate value. • Translate complex technical concepts for both expert and non-technical audiences, effectively communicating the impact of DatologyAI's platform. • Act as the liaison between customers and internal engineering/research teams, relaying customer feedback to influence the product roadmap. • Develop the foundational playbooks, best practices, and processes for the new pre-sales function. • Seniority • 2+ years of experience in a technical or research role within the AI/ML space. • • Work experience • Experience as an AI/ML Solutions Engineer, Researcher or Engineer. • Experience in a pre-sales or customer-facing technical role. • Experience at a fast-paced, high-growth startup. • • Education • Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical field. • • Hard skills • Deep understanding of ML model training lifecycles i.e. across pre-training, domain-specific mid-training and post-training. • Practical proficiency with PyTorch. • Experience with large-scale data processing / distributed systems (Spark, Ray, data lakes/warehouses). • • Soft skills • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ML and systems topics for diverse audiences. • • Salary • $160K - $210K(OTE: $230K - $300K) • Equity • Competitive • Visa sponsorship available • Hybrid work policy: 4 days in-office in Redwood City, CA • Full-time position
